Since 2014, Philanthropy West Virginia has been connecting our state’s philanthropic community with local, regional, state, and national resources and partners to respond to our state’s opioid use and substance use disorder epidemic. Our ongoing work in this area included in 2018 the Entry Points: Philanthropy’s Response to the Opioid Crisis series which included four programs connecting philanthropy leaders with issue experts, statewide plans, and the on the ground response on many levels. - HELP4WV: 24/7 online and phone call assistance for those battling addiction and their families
- West Virginia Harm Reduction Coalition: Statewide coalition of organizations, healthcare, funders, etc. working to reduce the impacts of the opioid crisis.
- WV School of Osteopathic Medicine’s Opioid toolkit program
- Recovery Point: Providing recovery services to West Virginians in many communities across the state.
- WV Perinatal Partnerships: Delivering assistance and programs for pregnant women who are addicted.
- Marshall University’s Substance Use Recovery Center: A hub of experts and organizations working together to further promote, learning about, research of, and aid toward substance use recovery.
